Intro to EDC 1010 - Geber Shard

The Gerber Shard is a small 7 in 1 multitool but does it make the grade? After spending some time with the Gerber Shard The Professor has some notes and a grade for this small but useful multitool. The Professor attached the Shard to his keychain when about his business. Before lunch on the first day the Shard had been used to open a battery pack using the Phillips head, from that point it was used many more times. 

Notes For The Final Exam

• Price - For less $20 this a great tool for people getting started with their EDC buildout
• Basic but the right tool features - Flathead, Phillips, and Bottle Opener in Specific
• The Lanyard hole is oddly placed causing it to get caught on key rings 
• The Pry-bar and Wire Stripper have gotten hung up often in pockets

Overall Grade B+ 

The Shard should be in everyone's EDC load-out or at the very least tucked in a glove box. The price is too good to pass up.
