Intro to Culinary Basics 1010

Mountain House Granola is a must have for long term food storage. The Professor is a firm believer in the idea that if you are gonna be in a situation that warrants the use of freeze dried meals you might as well enjoy them. The Professor over the years has tested plenty of different long shelf life meals and there have been a good deal of them that are just plain bad. The Mountain House Granola with Milk and Blueberries is not one of them however! The Granola in this meal is not too crunchy, the blueberries taste like blueberries and most importantly the milk is not gross. The serving size is accurate as about half the bag is enough for breakfast.

Notes For The Final Exam

  • Price - A single pouch with 2 servings can be picked up for $5.99 on Amazon.
  • E-Prep - Great item to toss in with long term food storage. Sporting a 30 year shelf life
  • Taste - This is the rare item from the world of freeze dried food I would eat in multiple situations like camping, hunting, or during an emergency.
  • Bag Design - The only knock on this is the bag design. If you are on the go and don't have time to mix it up in a dish, eating out of the bag cab be messy.
Overall Grade B+
The overall grade of a A- is spot on for the Mountain House Granola and Blueberries. If you are new on your journey to e-prep this is a great place to start!
